VY Jewelry Connect Privacy Policy

This policy describes the private VY Jewelry eBay Connect integration operated for VY Jewelry Inc. It applies to the connector and its account-deletion notification receiver, rather than purchases made through the VY Jewelry store.

Purpose and access

The connector lets its authorized owner use ChatGPT to read the connected seller account’s active eBay listings and selected listing details, including titles, product images, prices, quantities and item specifics. The current version does not provide tools to edit or publish listings or access buyer orders.

Information processed

The private settings page uses a Site-scoped ChatGPT user identifier to associate settings with the signed-in owner. The connector stores application credentials, OAuth access and refresh tokens, configuration values, and the connected eBay username or account identifier and legacy EIAS identifier needed to recognize account-deletion requests. Credentials and account identifiers are encrypted by the application before database storage. It does not receive or store the seller’s eBay password.

Listing responses are retrieved from eBay when requested and returned to the requesting ChatGPT conversation. The connector does not maintain a separate database of listing responses. Conversation history and other copies retained by ChatGPT or eBay are governed by those services’ settings and policies.

Hosting and sharing

The integration uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting and database infrastructure. Requests and responses are processed through those services and eBay to operate the connection. The application does not sell information or add advertising trackers. Hosting providers may process technical access and operational logs under their own policies.

Retention and removal

Saved connection information remains until it is replaced or removed. The owner can remove the saved connection information using the delete-connection control in the private settings page. Removing it does not delete eBay listings or remove existing ChatGPT conversation history. The owner can also manage the application’s authorization in eBay.

The public notification receiver accepts eBay marketplace account-deletion notifications and forwards them to the protected connector. The connector verifies eBay’s signature before processing a notification and removes its stored connection record when an account identifier matches. Notification payloads are not saved in an application database. Processing failures are returned as errors so that delivery can be retried; successful delivery is not acknowledged before processing finishes.
